Rob Kerr Named Flames TV Voice

20 Jul

As we reported after Peter Loubardias’ departure from Rogers Sportsnet, Rob Kerr was one of the top candidates to take over and today, we have word that Kerr will be the new TV voice of the Flames.  Kerr previously handled play by play for the Calgary Flames through their pay per view operation.  Kerr is a natural choice for Rogers since they already employ him and each party is familiar with him.  Kerr currently works for Rogers’ Calgary radio station, The Fan 960.

There are no other changes in the Flames booth, as Charlie Simmer will continue to be analyst and Roger Millions will handle host and reporting duties.

Rob Kerr joins Sportsnet broadcast team – Calgary Flames – News.
